Something from every decade right up to the most recent releases. Their performances are smooth, professional, energetic and just as good as the original songs themselves. A vast range of music will ensure everyone has a good time. And as one bride mentioned "you don't play to entertain yourselves, you play to entertain the people who have come to celebrate the occasion".

Wonderland will give you an exciting party atmosphere and a great ceilidh as well. They also provide a professional light system and disco. Definitely one of the few great all-round function bands.

What an amazing band, positive comments from all our guests all night. Fantastic mix of all music to make all our guests feel comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a band for a wedding. Made our day, thanks again.

Cassie and John McHendry, MacDonald Highland Resort, Aviemore, 03/07/10

Thank you for a fabulous evening of music at our wedding. You provided outstanding entertainment of the highest quality exceeding our expectations and delivering everything we asked for and more. It was a pleasure to enjoy the occasion with you, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone wanting first class music!

Alan & Cynthia Dallas, Ardanaiseig House Hotel (Intimate Wedding Hotel of the Year 2010) Argyll, 05/06/10

We had a fantastic day and you made the party for us. All of our guests have been saying it is the best wedding dance they have been too and I must agree. The choices you made for the music with no guidance from ourselves was perfect. It was not the usual run of the mill songs that are churned out at functions and it kept our guests on the dance floor. We all had a great time. Lots of people have been asking me who the band were and I am happily passing on your details. For anyone who has any doubts - do not - Just book this band for a party to remember.

Lesley Milne, mother-of-the-bride, Ardoe House, Aberdeen, 15/05/10

Colin and I got engaged in November and had booked pretty much everything straight away except a band. We made loads of enquiries and listened to a lot of bands but we just weren't getting a 'warm and cuddly' feeling about any of them.

We came across Wonderland and so we went online to listen to their samples and the thing that really stood out for us was how much better the vocals were than any of the other bands that we had heard. From my point of view, that was critical.

I had pretty much decided that Wonderland were the band for us - especially after speaking with Steve on the phone and just finding him to be so easy to get along with and speak to. My other half was a little more hesitant (he's like that!) and wanted to hear Wonderland live before sealing the deal.

We decided to go along to see the band performing at the Northern Hotel on Friday night - I was instantly impressed and was really happy that they sounded absolutely great live. Really good vocals and superb guitar (et al) playing by Steve. Colin had the unsigned contract from Wonderland in his back pocket when we went along and after hearing a few songs, he had absolutely no hesitation in signing the contract.

The range and selection of songs that they cover is absolutely fantastic and they are performed really well. It's a worry trying to find a band that can cover such a wide selection well - you often find that they'll be really good at some stuff but pretty mediocre at other stuff. Wonderland are great at everything and Steve's mandolin playing on the Ceilidh stuff will definitely get everyone on their feet and tapping their toes.

All in all - couldn't recommend them more and we're chuffed to bits that we've got them booked for our wedding dance. Going to see them made the wedding feel that bit more real and we were both starting to get pretty excited about it!

As it turns out, one of my colleagues has also booked Wonderland for their wedding and they have been to see Wonderland a couple of times now - they are also really chuffed to have found Wonderland. In addition, another of my colleagues have heard Wonderland play a few times in the Northern and when I told her that we were considering them for our wedding band, she just started raving about how great they are. She's right.

Dianna and Colin Houston, Northern Hotel, Aberdeen, 14/05/10

Wonderland were simply brilliant at our wedding. They were enthusiastic and helpful - a pleasure to work with. They even learned some new songs that we wanted but weren't part of their repertoire. The vocals and sound are excellent and as the ultimate proof, the dancefloor was never empty. We had a wonderful time and they exceeded our expectations. We would recommend them to anyone.

Roger and Kirsty Maier, Mansion House, Edinburgh Zoo, 10/04/10

Wonderland was a great choice for our wedding. They were very professional and created the perfect atmosphere. My husband and his friends even wanted to do a dance, which hadn't been on the schedule for the evening as the best man and usher had made it up on the spot and it was no problem for Wonderland to take the time to arrange a suitable piece of music to match their routine. Steve was fantastic on the run up to the wedding, he couldn't be more helpful. We never had to worry about them and when you are trying to organise a wedding, this was a blessing. All of our guests thought they were great, the dance floor was never empty. Thanks very much guys, you really helped make our day special.

James and Corinne Hunter, Fingask Castle, Dundee, 05/04/10

Thanks to Steve for a great evening and a great selection of music. He really made it special for us both by performing one of our favourite songs for our first dance. We would have no problem in highly recommending Wonderland for any type function.

Chris and Sarah Macdonald, Maryculter House, Aberdeen, 13/03/10

Wonderland played at our wedding dance last night, they were superb and had everyone up dancing. They were particularly popular with a group who were up from Oban who said that they had nothing in Lorne which compared!

John and Stacy McGilp, The Lodge, Banavie, Fort William, 20/02/10

Steve and Eilidh played at our bride & groom party for my husband's 40th Birthday and a great night was had by all. I don't think I came off the dance floor all night. Wonderland plays at a lot of weddings at our hotel and they never disappoint. Steve always has time to give a helping hand with arranging the party music and to make sure all wishes and tastes are catered for. Thank you very much again and no doubt we will see you soon.

Manja and Duncan Gibson, (Managers) Glenfinnan House Hotel, 06/02/10

Wonderland had everyone dancing, it was great to have a mix of live music, disco and ceilidh that suited everyone. There were lots of people asking "who are the band" as they thought Wonderland were brilliant. Will definitely book them again.

Libby and Roddy Cameron, New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness, 29/01/10

Hi Steve just a Big thank you for playing at Julie and Alans wedding at Onich last week. We really enjoyed your music.

Bonny, mother-of-the-bride, Onich Hotel, 02/12/09

Craig and I planned our wedding in 6 months and had to juggle sourcing all our wedding "elements" whilst also holding down hectic jobs. When you don't have time to go and hear bands gig and you're reliant on internet scans only there is always a nag at the back of your head as to "is it going to be alright?!!"

I have to honestly say, Steve and Wonderland were superb. Both on the day and in our chats beforehand (email only as I was too hectic!) A big bonus for a stressed out bride is that they are easy to deal with and pragmatic in approach.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night, and guests of all ages complemented me on the band. They catered for our diverse musical tastes beautifully and with good humour throughout. Wonderland were an important part of a day which is still being talked about!

Lucy and Craig Nicholson, Isles of Glencoe Hotel, 17/10/09

I just wanted to say how much David and I as well as my other guests enjoyed themselves. Everybody kept asking about the band and commenting on the music. It was unique and different having a band instead of a disco and it really caught people's attention. There was something for everybody and the dance floor was never empty. We really appreciate how easy you made everything for us and accommodated our every need.

It complimented the day so much and got everybody into the mood, if your looking for something different then this is definitely it. Excellent musicians and singers all round creating an unforgettable night. Thank you so much for everything we really enjoyed ourselves my feet were really hurting by the end of the night though! But it was worth the pain!

Rebecca & David Hackney, Glenfinnan House Hotel, by Fort William, 08/08/09

Thank you Wonderland for being such a big part in making our wedding the special occasion it was. From the first contact till the end of the wedding you provided a fantastic service. With so much to worry about getting married you were a godsend in making sure we had nothing to worry about with you. You really made the night for us and the fact that the dance floor was never empty speaks for itself. I would and will recommend you for any event but especially weddings. Thank you again.

David & Angela Shannon, Millennium Hotel, George Square, Glasgow, 01/08/09

Wonderland had great contact with us before the wedding discussing song choices. On the night we were absolutely delighted with the performance that they gave. They have such a range of music to ensure that they have everyone dancing. We would highly recommend them to anyone as a Wedding band or for any other function.

Our guests have been ranting and raving about the performance they gave and the wide selection that they offered. They had great interaction with our guests and really just gave it a personal touch. Thanks again for giving us and our guests a memorable evening.

Julie & Craig Forbes, The Ben Nevis Hotel, Fort William, Inverness, 25/07/09

Nick and I booked Wonderland for our wedding on the 17th July 2009. As soon as our meal was finished Wonderland was there ready to set up. What a great night! There wasn't a moment when the dance floor was empty.

Great variety of songs,60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and they even sing Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon and Poker Face by Lady GaGa! We even had Ceilidh music played throughout the night. They can even change lyrics of a song to suit you, as Nick and I requested.

Would highly recommend Wonderland and wouldn't hesitate booking them again for a party or wedding dance.

Emma & Nicholas MacLean, BA Club, Fort William, Inverness, 17/07/09

I would definitely recommend Wonderland to anyone who is looking for a band for their wedding. They provided us with a great service and were open to any suggestions that we had to make our wedding dance an extra special one. The feedback we have received from our guests has been great and again shows the appreciation they have for Wonderland's musical talents. It would be great if they were recognised for the quality music they provide.

Rob & Arlene Scott, Fife Lodge, Banff, Aberdeen, 11/07/09

We got married on the 4th July 2009 and the day was perfect from start to finish, we booked Wonderland to provide the music and they had all our family and friends dancing the night away with a really good mixture of music that everyone enjoyed.

The service was first class and the wedding night was brilliant, we would have no hesitation in recommending Wonderland to anyone planning a wedding reception.

Kara & Craig Elder, Caol Community Centre, Fort William, 04/07/09

Wonderland are quite simply the best wedding band around, nothing is too much trouble for them, the service is first class and Steve could not have been any more helpful. All the guests were hugely impressed and weeks on are still talking about them - and the fact they did our requested wedding song brilliantly was the icing on the cake.

Mr & Mrs R Morrison, Teaninich Castle, Alness, Inverness, 27/06/09

Myself and Grant would like to thank both Steve and Eilidh for making our wedding dance fantastic. We had a large mixed audience who were all thoroughly entertained through the whole evening. The mix of music from old and new, charts and ceilidh – there was something for everyone and the dance floor was never empty.

Before we booked Wonderland we knew they sounded good on the internet but they were even better on the night. People have not stopped commenting on what a good choice we made for our band and we would have to agree. Thank you so much for a fab evening, we will definitely be recommending you to any of our family and friends in the future.

We can't thank you both enough for the fab night we had on our wedding. You entertained everyone and created a fab atmosphere. - Wonderland are wonderful. Thank you again.

Krista & Grant Munro, Hilton Hotel, Aviemore, 05/06/09

Steve was fantastic, punctual and professional yet friendly and easy going. The music was exactly what I had hoped for and kept me on the dance floor all night. You made our night worry free and memorable, thanks. I will be recommending Wonderland.

Andrew & Nicola de Felice, Glenfinnan House Hotel, 09/05/09

Hi Steve, Thanks so much for playing at our wedding, we had a wonderful night. The music was fantastic, I could hardly leave the dance floor. The Irish folk all loved the Scottish dancing in the middle of the night, and Daddy is still getting phone calls from people saying how much they enjoyed themselves. You had the floor filled for the night and it was great to see everyone dancing and enjoying themselves, it really made the night for both myself and Mikey. I will definitely be recommending you to anyone who has a wedding coming up, the whole wedding was fantastic and thanks for your help in making it one of the happiest days of our lives.

Grainne & Mikey Shaw, Ben Nevis Hotel, Fort William, 18/04/09

As our profession is in the catering business we have had the opportunity to listen to many bands over the years and I can endorse Wonderland to be one of the best-received bands in recent years. Their music stretches across a broad range entertaining all ages, with beautiful harmonies professionally presented. Very recommendable.

Janet & David Collings, General Managers, Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club, Fort William, March 2009

Wonderland have been playing at the Moorings Hotel for a number of years and they have always been punctual and courteous. They play a wide range of music to suit their audience and we always have extremely good feedback for parties, weddings etc that they play for. I would have no hesitation in recommending this band.

Vicky Swankie, Manager, Moorings Hotel, Fort William, February 2009

Wonderland were exceptional at our wedding. The range of music was fantastic and catered for everyone. All of our friends and family commented on how brilliant the band were and everyone had a wonderful time, even my Gran was up dancing the night away. We had an absolute ball and it was great to have such a professional band who made the evening entertainment so enjoyable and worry free for us. I would highly recommend them for any function, they are superb.

Shoina & Gavin Smith, Newton Hotel, Nairn, 15/11/08

Thanks for your participation and support for our wedding – it was a great time had by all! Your band really delivered and made our event a lively party for all ages.

Jason & Katya Campbell, Glenborrodale Castle, 19/09/08

Wonderland entertained our guests brilliantly, the dancefloor was busy the whole time and they were so helpful in the run up to the big day suggesting ideas, answering our questions and accomodating our requests.

Hi Steve, Just wanted to say thank you for playing at the wedding. It was a great night. Everyone has said how good you guys were so thought I'd pass it on to you. Thanks again.

Aaran & Fraser Watson, Marquee wedding, Knoydart, 10/05/08

We booked Wonderland for our wedding dance and it was a fantastic night! Great songs and the lead singer has a brilliant voice. Great time had by all. We would both highly recommend this band.

Catherine & James Kyle, Colomba Hotel, Inverness, 11/11/06

We knew straight away who we wanted to play at the wedding, and never regretted the decision!  Wonderland were absolutely brilliant! They played a large variety of music, suitable for all of our guests, and kept everyone dancing into the wee hours! Brilliant.  Thanks once again for making our night even more memorable!

Grigor & Carolyne Grant, Cullen Town Hall, 26/08/06

We and our friends had a fantastic time in the evening.  I remember a friend of mine commenting on your singers voice, it was outstanding. I have pictures of guests doing air guitar and other comments to the tune of, 'I haven't danced like that in years'. I certainly would say that you were very accommodating when I emailed you many times in a blind panic about the event. As a DJ and duet you don't play to entertain yourselves, you play to entertain the people who have come to celebrate the occaision. It added to the fantastic experiece of getting married and getting married at Glenfinnan House. It was Manja that gave us your contact details. I'm glad she did.  Thanks.

Vicky & Bruce Flood, Glenfinnan House Hotel, 07/05/05

Big thanks to Wonderland. Myself and my wife got married on the 19th September 2009, Moorings Hotel, Fort William and we had very exact requirements on what photographer, videographer and band to choose for our special day. As a wedding videographer and photographer myself, I have come across many bands playing at many wedding venues. I have found some of them to be really good, not bad and very poor. My judgement was based on three things; a) song portfolio, b) technical and vocal ability and c) value for money. Most bands on point a) are quite good. However, point b) most of the bands were not as good, as their systems would let them down due to distortion. I wanted to be able to hear the words of the songs sung by the band that we chose for our wedding. A lot of the singers, should in my opinion, learn how to sing as a few of them were way out of tune, masked only by their distorted sound systems. For most bands point c) was a disappointment as they did not give much, especially as they had many engagements with the bar for their pints. I observed this quite a bit in all the weddings that I have filmed.

Then I discovered Wonderland. It just so happened I was doing a wedding fayre in my home town of Fort William and Wonderland were there too, playing a few sets. When I heard Wonderland for the first time my first impression was WOW, they are very good. So over the next few months I got to know the leader of the band Steve Brown and discovered that he has a passion for what he does and he always strives for perfection in his profession. Steve and his singers are true professional artists and fail on none of my points mentioned above. Wonderland's sound system is just fantastic, crystal clear sound and no distortion at all. How do I know this? Playback from my own wedding was amazing as I did not have tweak any of the sound. I also know that Steve is a good singer and a fantastic guitarist and his other singers are just brilliant as I have heard quite a few of them and recorded them also. Eilidh was the female singer at our wedding and she was brilliant. Steve is the best so he demands the very best singing partners.

Their portfolio is just brilliant and they will learn a song if it is not in their huge extensive list. Steve managed to extract our favourite songs from various sources to play at our wedding and they even slotted in some Ceilidh music. As far as break times for the band they almost had to be told to have a break and all they drank was water, because they sang so much and gave so much of themselves. In conclusion, their talent and technical ability is just unbelievable, our night was just fantastic. I love how they engage the guests to get them on the dance floor. They were able to turn their hand to any song and play the client’s song list, which they did for us brilliantly. Value for money was just great; they were there in plenty of time before the agreed time and never faltered throughout the night. I cannot recommend Wonderland high enough for any function that you require a band for. My wife Kirsteen and I had a very special evening on the 19th because of Wonderland. Thank you Wonderland.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn't answered below please contact us directly.

Q. What type of music do you play?
Every style from the 60s to the latest releases plus a set of Ceilidh dances with caller, if required. Please see our repertoire page. A disco is also provided as standard allowing you to have ANY song you request.

Q. How many people are in the band and what instruments do you play?
Wonderland is a boy/girl duo. Both are exceptional lead vocalists plus Steve plays a mean electric guitar during most of the night alongwith the highest quality backing tracks. Acoustic guitar is played during ballads such as Caledonia and some of the Scottish instrumentals feature Mandolin. Steve works with a pool of outstanding professional female singers.

Q. Do you have a sample CD?
Yes, we will gladly send you a copy of our free promotional CD which showcases a typical wedding dance with Wonderland. Please request one on our contact page.

Q. Can we see the band before we book?
Yes, please watch our live online videos. Plus, we play every weekend if you'd like to see us in the flesh too. Please get in touch to arrange a viewing at a suitable venue.

Q. How far do you travel?
Distance really is no object, we're off to Geneva this year! Most of our work is in the North of Scotland, where we are based.

Q. How loud are you and do you have lights?
Our volume is always suitable for your guests and the room. Being a duo without live drums we can play intimate hotel foyers and our state-of-the-art BOSE PA system can cater for up to 400 people inside a marquee. We also carry an LED and halogen light show.

Q. Can you play in venues which use a noise-limiter system?
Yes. Our line-up and PA allows us complete control over our volume level.

Q. How much room do you need?
Not very much! The PA is very compact and the 2 of us can set-up in the smallest of country house foyers. We also carry backdrops and extra sub-bass speakers to cater for village halls and marquees.

Q. How many weddings have you played?
Hundreds! We haven't missed one booking and have pleased every bride and groom. Please read a few of our testimonials.

Q. Do you play gay weddings and civil ceremonies?
Absolutely! We've played several and loved every one of them.

Q. Do you offer a contracted service?
Yes, we will happily send you a copy of our booking agreement to look over along with a no-obligation quote. Please send your details using our contact page.

We will send you two copies of our booking agreement. Please sign both and return one with a £50 non-refundable deposit. The balance is payable one month before the event.

Q. Can we book you provisionally?
By all means if we're available we will pencil you in. However due to our high number of enquiries we don't hold dates, we have to operate on a first come first served basis. The signed contract and £50 deposit secures the booking.

Q. Do you take credit cards?
Yes, via Paypal but subject to 3% surcharge to cover their fees. We find the best payment methods are Bank Transfer or cheque.

Q. Who do we make the cheque payable to?
"Wonderland".

Q. What are your details for Bank Transfer payments?
Sort code 09-01-27 Account number 37700849 Reference "your name". Follow this up with an email to us and we'll send you a receipt once payment comes through.

Q. Do you have any interest-free payment terms?
Yes, as long as we receive the total amount due one month before your event you can pay us whatever - whenever. We will issue receipts for all payments.

Q. Can we choose the first dance?
Yes, Wonderland are happy to learn any song for your first dance provided you give us 2 months' notice. Alternatively we can play the original CD version for you if you'd prefer.

Q. Do you play music during your break?
Yes, we will play background music at a suitable volume for your guests during any breaks. Typically Braveheart soundtrack as your evening guests arrive, some easy listening Michael Bublé during the buffet plus full-on dance-volume mixes from the disco later in the evening. Classic Rock, dance, cheesy disco, indie, house, soul, jazz - tell us your preferences and let us read the crowd.

Q. What time do you arrive at the venue?
We arrive 1 hour before the agreed start time unless circumstances allow us to set up in the afternoon.

Q. How long does it take to set up?
It can be done in 30 minutes but we give ourselves 1 hour. Please note that in certain venues where we are due to play in the same room as the meal has been served we cannot start until the tables have been cleared. If the meal is running late this would obviously have a knock-on effect. We will still finish at the agreed time.

Q. How long do you play for?
Our standard performance time is from 8pm – 12midnight playing continuous music all night between the band and disco. Other times can be negotiated.

Q. How reliable are Wonderland?
Wonderland are a professional function band and have been playing wedding dances and other private functions since 1993, never having missed one. We work with a fully contracted service, have public liability insurance and all of our equipment is PAT tested for safety. In the highly unlikely event of the band being unable to make the booking a replacement band will be found for you. We have a large database of other professional duos.

Q. Can we contact you anytime, will you reply promptly?
Absolutely, we will reply within 24 hours. And we keep in touch leading up to your event. We will also contact you one month beforehand to finalise all details such as times, requests and first dance.

Q. How does the band dress?
Smart shirt and dress/top, as if we were one of your guests. NO jeans and T-shirts and nothing over-the-top either!

Q. Will you drink pints and eat all the buffet?
YES - pints of WATER and will partake if invited.
